Religious Education
CCD is a program of religious education offered by the parish for the children and the youth of the Parish of Saint Gertrude.
It offers a continuous education in the catholic faith adapted to the age of every child. The classes are given by teachers certified by the archdiocese of Chicago and the sacramental care is provided by the priests of the parish.
As a part of religious education the children are prepared to receive the sacraments of christian initiation (baptism, first communion and confirmation) and the sacrament of reconciliation.
The tuition is kept minimal, only to cover expenses for the materials used in the program. We want every child to be able to receive good catholic formation and we look at the situation of every family individually.
The registration for the next semester starts in August in the office in front of the Parish Office.
